    Line 10 has instruction”
“10 Divide line 5 by line 9. Enter the result as a decimal rounded to at least 3 places.”

if decimal is 0.027432, is “rounded to at least 3 places
a)0.027 because there are 3 numbers after decimal pt or
b)0.0274 because 3 are 3 numbers not including the first 0 after decimal pt?

Kaneohe, it would be .027 since the 0 counts as a number. But if the tax program supports it you could carry it out to more than 3 places. Just filed in IRS Free file fillable forms, and the automated calcs on the program carried the line 10 out to 4 decimal places, with no ability to back off to 3 or increase to 5.

Thanks, Alan. Might make another buck by choosing where to round.
