If the IRS changes my address of record (due to a filing of form 8822 or a return showing a new address, or a change of address at the USPS propagating to the IRS) will the IRS send me a notification to my prior address that my address was changed?
I would assume that doing so would be standard security measure, but I can’t find any notice that covers this. I do see a notice CP148-A and CP148-B, but these notices seem to apply only to employer/form 8822-B situations.
Thank you in advance.
