How do I obtain copies of my 1040's from 1997 to 2010??

After recently submitting 8606's for non deductible IRA contributions I had mistakenly never submitted between 1998 and 2010, I received 12 separate notices from the IRS that I would have to submit amended returns for those 12 years.

As I don't have copies of those returns, how can I obtain copies in order to submit the 12 amended returns between 1998 and 2010.

You can only get transcripts covering the past 10 years.
How would I get copies of the returns between 98 and 07??
Thanks for your help

1. You can't.
2. I don't think you need them. When submitting a 1040x where the numbered lines on the 1040x form do not change, you don't need the numbers. You just add the missing form and an explanation.
